The small village New Mexico project was an enlightening experience for me. I definitely improved in my photography skills each shoot and was able to get out of my comfort zone and capture things I would not have captured before. I had never spent any time in each village we visited and it made me appreciate New Mexico and it’s hidden villages. I definitely would go back to shoot each village and continue shooting small villages. I picked these four photos because I like the color and the subject of each. Joe was a man from Mesilla who I had the opportunity to talk too for about 30 min outside of his house. The van and the truck stood out to me because of the color, and the flags in Anthony were fun to capture because of the blue sky. I’m really happy I was able to be a part of this experience and to document the small villages that people tend to forget exist.
