You almost had a perfect idea-visually!
The portraits with the leash leading out of the frame. But then you have little parts of people once in awhile. Don’t. The graphics of the dogs plus leash is working for you. Simple, interesting, a little visual trick. Nice. Think of your work as a SERIES, not individual shots. Check out Avedon’s American West series. The trick of consistency is powerful.
