1. 1. Shoot in better light. Shade gives you “FLAT” tones and flaty tones are less interesting thatn sweet light or, even, strong direct light. Use the LIGHT! This is entirely under your control but you have to put tiume into it. Go away. Come back, work the thing. 2. Forget the “chattiness” when caption. Don’t use words like “A great view…” Let the viewer decide if the view is great. Stick to third person and the 5Ws and the H. When founded? Where is Tularosa? WHY (you covered but what was that battle?). etcetra. The site is not a diary. It is a magazine.
