The Socorro Independent School District is officially on their fall break, but many students are not letting that get away in their sports. For many students are getting ready for the start of their season. “The fall break is only a bigger opportunity to get ready and to work harder; to start with a Bang when we go back to school” Eddie Rios, student at Americas High, said. Many of the sports will start their seasons when they return from this break, therefore they are giving it their all to start off their competitions.

For the next two weeks these students will have a lot on their plates to bring that school pride to their competitions.

  1. Before I write 1000 words, is it fair to ask, are you improvising a little bit?
Your top two are almost identical. All of them are too far away. If you weren’t at the 200mm end of your lens you should be. The assignment calls for use of the longer lenses and for that combined with use of wide aperture for shallow depth-of-field.”
If you were (I don’t think you were) then you needed to crop in Photoshop to get down to the action instead of the action being far far away. On that note, you also should be shooting “wide open,” at f:2.8 so focus on background goes out.
Above all else, however, is the issue that the assignment called for “…any officially organized sports event. It must have a Roster because you need to identify every player in your photo.” The problem here is that this is a practice with one team, it is not officiated and it is not a game.
This presentation does not match the requirements of the assignment.
