My portrait series has a different array of almost famous people. From a Starbucks barista, a local artist, and a lead vocalist from a well known Duo group called Chromeo. What ties these photographs together is the different atmospheres portrayed in each photograph. Each person gives off a different feeling in their environment, as you can tell from the photos, the Starbucks barista portrait gives off a clean corporate look, while the local artist photograph gives a moody, unique, wartercolor effect like her work. Then the lead vocalist portrait gives you a powerful, strong, profile look from the lights of a concert setting. I want the viewer to feel themselves immersed in the environment with the almost famous subject.

  1. Interesting. Nice choice of B/W but if you do the tint thing make sure all of them have the exact same tint. Keep it consistent. I know you want the one of Cindy to be “corporate,” but it’s more important to speak with one Photographic voice…and the tint is that voice this time around. The blur sort of works. What the heck…it is a FEATURE photo.
    Good job Ash.
