   It’s a “shoot” and not a project. National Geo is al about projects, repeated involvement in a situation in multiple lighting, multiple aspect, etc.
   If Mariachi is the topic, go deeper. Make contact with these people and take it deeper, see them in different roles in their lives, in different locations, even little sidebar aspects like, Who makes those clothes (go to the store), is this a culture and at what age does this begin? Do they practice? Where? When?Etc.
   Take it deeper and do more than one performance.
