Hatch, NM
Hatch is a small town just 45 minutes away from Las Cruces,NM. With this trip being my first time in Hatch I was a little lost on where to go to shoot. After a few minutes of wondering the streets I stumbled upon this ice cream truck and just started shooting the people walking by. This man just happened to walk past me at the right time for me to capture his image. First diving into this project I was worried that the locals of the communities we’ve visited would be against having their picture taken by complete strangers. Surprisingly all locals have been welcoming and workable to having their community photographed by strangers.

Good that you shot a person but you’re not telling us about that person. Who is he? Hatch native? What does he do, etc. Documentary is about documenting.
