“Everybody Has a Story”

Sophomore Anthony is an inspiring animation filmmaker who studies biology on the side. His family lives in El Paso, but he resides at New Mexico State University during the school year. He is also enjoys the company of a local christian group called “Disciples of Christ”

When I asked him why he wanted to become an animator, he simple shrugged and said, “I like cartoons.”Which to many of the students in the current animation lab claim to be their number one reason they pursued the art.

The NMSU Creative Media Institute was recently named one of the top 50 schools for Animation and Game design from Animation Career Review. Anthony, along with others, considers this to be a great honor and only encourage him more to purse his career at the Creative Media Institute. Next semester he plans to take classes such as Foundations of 3d animation, Digital illustration and other fun classes within the department.
