Downtown Las Cruces- The Affects and Emptiness of Covid-19

downtown cruceswall

Due to the Covid-19 Restrictions, I noticed that each time I went and explored Downtown Las Cruces, there weren’t a lot of people. Maybe I’m used to the bustling life of El Paso; that could be the case. I noticed the empty streets, empty business seating, empty city life.

Although some things were affected, not all were. Some people used that as an opportunity to ride bikes, others still went through the motions of putting up flags, others explored a bit with me. Other places had lights and signs lit up, but no business. It all felt very odd and empty.

Here’s some of the emptiness I found.

Rad Retrocade, although not open, lit and shone their business sign as the downtown area grew darker.
