Almost Famous: Linh Nguyen
She is my cousin who is an international student from
Vietnam. Linh has been in the U.S. for five years now, and
just got married a month ago. Back home, she was a
fashion model who was booked by different fashion
stores and jewelry brands. After finishing high school,
she decided to study abroad in York, Pennsylvania before
officially moving down to Las Cruces, New Mexico to
enhance her education.
Explaining the reason why Linh moved across the globe
to start a new life, she said “There are a lot of things to
learn out there. The main reason that I moved here is
that I want to learn more about the world and enhance
my education. And I do not regret coming here to study.
I’ve met a lot of friends, I’ve learned a lot from different
cultures, and I met my husband. I wouldn’t trade this
experience for anything.”
