This is what is left of the ladder that helped the 1924 National Geographic expedition team get to the famous Lower Cave at Carlsbad Caverns, NM. What today looks just like rusty and old segments of rope and wood,used to be a 90 feet long ladder and the only medium for explorers to get to Lower Cave. Scary huh?
