Freshman Katherine Arnold wins the point for NMSU with a score of 68.5 in the Western Reining portion of NMSU’s Equestrian competion against the Southern Methodist University Mustangs in October.

The NMSU Equestrian Team competed against Southern Methodist University on Oct. 3. The Western Horsemanship and Reining events and the Hunter Seat events Equitation on the Flats and Equitation on the Fences took place here at the New Mexico State Equestrian Center. A delay due to lightning from a rainstorm caused some mud in the area, as seen in the photo below of the Reining competition. NMSU won the meet after a tie-breaker.
