National Geographic Assignment: Scenic Drive
Scenic Drive is the best view you can find of the city. It over views not only El Paso, Texas but New Mexico, and Juraez, Mexico as well. The road follows the rim of the Franklin Mountains, the lower tip of the Rocky Mountains and offers an astonishing panoramic view. The road attracts many tourists and El Paso natives young and old. A young El Paso native Danny Urgarte stood atop Scenic Drive boulders and took many pictures to post on social media so his friends and family from other places could see the view as well. Urgarte went to Scenic Drive on a random whim with his family and “loves the view”. Some travel for the view, but for others Scenic Drive holds a sentimental value. Jesus Villalobos, 65, goes to Scenic Drive once a week in remembrance of his wife who passed away a few years ago. Their first date was atop the mountain, and it brings him peace coming back everytime.
It was going great until I got to the Black and White! I’ve said it at least 3e cajillion times during the semester, “Do not mix color and Black and White, they are two different languages and when you do it is two competing languages.” However, even if that wasn’t enough the assignment calls for “It is a color assignment and thus powerful color is essential.” The rest of the story is one of the best. You do work at your work and it is obvious that you are doing it with some commitment and passion. Nice little story. Change out that B/W.
