Chope’s bar and cafe serves as the social center in La Mesa, stop in and enjoy the delicious food and grab a cold one. The laundry mat in La Mesa also serves as a hardware and feed store, I guess you could say its a diversified business. There is no doubt that La Mesa is representative of an American town in the southwest. La Mesa has a historic feel about it, many adobe buildings still stand and have been in crevice for at least 100 years. Like many small out-of-the-way places La Mesa has retained its collections of unrestored classic cars.
