The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Armistice Day or as it is now officially known, Veterans Day.

An honoring of our Veterans took place this year on Wednesday, November, 11 2015.

The Veterans shown here were being honored for their services in the nicest way.

Certificates

Polly Harris Senior Center in El Paso, TX Gathered their Veterans and awarded them a Certificate for their services.

 Along with that they received a nice little gift basket.

This last picture was actually take at the Don Haskins Recreation Center, where they had their own recognition ceremony.

Teaching kids the origins of how Veterans day became a holiday. The two men in the picture above are both vets sharing their stories.

Mark Payten shared in interesting fact and now I will share it with you. He said, “49 percent of Vietnam vets are still alive.”

Its Amazing how despite all the hardships they faced, they came back, they conquered, and shared amazing stories of how it was to be a soldier.
