New Mexico State University Women’s Volleyball team took on UTEP on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M. part of the Battle of I-10 series. There was a good competition between the two teams and the score was tight throughout all the sets.
Some of the star players though out the game between the two teams. For NMSU: Sasha-Lee Thomas led with 12 kills and six blocks, Jordan Abalos with two aces, Briana Ainsworth with 21 assists and Ariadnne Sierra with 13 digs. Then the top players for the Minors were Cheyenne Jones with eight kills, Mallory Yost with one ace and two blocks, Amanda King with 14 assist and 11 digs by Briana Arellano.
New Mexico State Aggies defeated the UTEP Miners at the Battle of I-10 series 25-19, 25-19,25-18, which NMSU took a clean sweep during the series. Here are some images from the game:
