Almost Famous: Matthew Gonzalez

R. Matthew Gonzales:

I am an Environmental Science student at NMSU with undergraduate research experience in natural resources and soil science. My academic career began at Eastern New Mexico University~Ruidoso (ENMU~R) Community College. While at ENMU~Ruidoso I developed a strong sinse of community, and was deeply involved with the college as an English tutor and President of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor society. Before I graduated from ENMU~ Ruidoso I became the proud recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa, All New Mexico Academic Team (2014), The All USA Academic Team (2014) and the Coca Cola New Century Scholar (2014). These scholarships granted me the opportunity to Study at NMSU. I intend to gain experience in the industry before returning to seek a graduate level degree as I hope to one day teach others.
