Been a photographer for awhile. Started out in Chicago as a street photographer shooting riots for UPI and the Christian Science Monitor. Got fairly good at it and started hanging out with the people I photographed and morphed into the idea of doing documentary photography although I didn't know there was a name for it. Got lost in the desert and ended up in El Paso three blocks from Mexico. Been shooting there -and everywhere- ever since. As a shooter I pretty much have done everything one can imagine in photography to earn shekels. Concentrating now and find myself back at my roots, photojournalism and documentary. Teaching at a university. Nice! Opportunities to research, great to be working with a new generation, lets me keep at it, gets me out of my own head. Still going. What more can you ask?
