You have the right idea. I think you need to work with the “long lens” a little more… get tighter. At least crop tighter.
Shooting against the light is not so wise… the light is “flat,” without contrast.
Your captions need to be more thorough. Name, year in college, a little about the diving competition, etc.
Go at this again and you’ll get better and better.
