Corey Arnold is not only a photographer, but also a commercial fisherman by trade. He is 36 years old and is from Vista, CA. Since 1995, he has worked seasonally as a commercial fisherman in Alaska, including seven years of crabbing in the Bering Sea. During off season he goes home to Portland, OR. His life’s work is an ongoing photo series called Fish-Work that documents the reality and adventures commercial fishermen face during life at sea. Arnold is a true artist that lives and breathes his art. Arnold’s work has been exhibited and published worldwide in publications such as The New Yorker, National Geographic, Time, Esquire, The Paris Review, and much more. He also starred in The Discovery Channels “Deadliest Catch.”
